The last Windows 8 version is now available for download for subscribers of TechNet and MSDN. It is known as RTM (release to manufacturing) version – this is the final copy that will be used on any computer in future. It will be officially shipped on 26th of October. Volume license clients without Software Assurance will have the chance to purchase Windows 8 on 1st of September via Microsoft License Volume Resellers, while the customers with Software Assurance will get RTM on 16th of August.
People will have to wait until 26th of October in order to get an online copy. Windows has also launched the last version of Windows Store. The reason for this is because Microsoft hopes that we will start seeing any new applications for Windows 8 in the recent months. The style of applications is also going to be different.
