Although many people consider the words “geek” and “nerd” interchangeable, there are distinct differences between the two labels. So are you a geek or are your a nerd? Here are some common traits to help you discover which one you may be.
If you are a nerd, you may be introverted and somewhat socially inept. This is balanced by your fascination with knowledge and learning a wide variety of skills, whether those are practical or not. In terms of your career, you may be a nerd if you work in engineering, computer programming, science or at a video store.
Geeks are walking experts. They tend to pick a specific niche and learn everything they can about it. If you are a geek you may find yourself explaining complex things to an audience that is not entirely interested. Geeks are a little more outgoing, possibly working as a barista, graphic designer or an entrepreneur.
