As for HTC DESIRE VC, it is a first ever dual SIM smartphone by HTC with Android ICS 4.0 along with Beats audio powered by a 1.0GHz single core processor. Dual SIM phones are available in the market from time immemorial. It’s not a very big thing considered now days. But when a popular developer comes with a smartphone that has dual SIM functionality, then it’s quite a very big thing to consider.

HTC DESIRE V

SPECS

Display screen

HTC Desire V has a 4 inch WVGA touch screen display. With a screen resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, visuals appear well enough.

Processor/Software

The device gets its power from a 1.0 single core Qualcomm MSM7227A processor with Adreno 200 GPU.the phone has a RAM worth 512MB. The phone is dominated by Android Ice cream sandwich 4.0 and HTC Sense 4. Due to the single core processor, you will find Desire V to be a bit sluggish.

Camera

HTC Desire V has a primary camera of 5 mega pixels with LED flash and auto focus feature. HTC image chip is absent in this model. The camera cannot capture high definition videos but only with some lower resolution.

Other features

HTC Desire V weighs around 114 grams. There is an internal memory storage of 4GB that is expandable via microSD cards. The device runs on with the power of a 1650mAh battery. The appealing unibody design is another plus factor for HTC Desire V. due to the dual SIM functionality of the phone, users can attend calls from the other network while talking on or using the other second SIM network.

Design

HTC Desire V has been designed beautifully with a high quality and polished covering, all thanks to the unibody design. There is an iconic touch in HTC Desire V’s design. There is a status bar at the top of the screen that displays both SIM’S network info. The desired SIM network can be selected from the status bar to make call or send messages.

Cost

The HTC Desire V is available at the cost of US dollars 498. Its seems like you are just paying for the dual SIM functionality. For a phone with single core processor, the price seems much high.

Verdict

HTC Desire V does not have that spark that we all found in the HTC’s ONE series of smart phones. The single core processor in HTC Desire V counts another minus point for the phone as almost all other smartphones of same range of other manufacturers are powered by dual core powerful processors. The single core processor causes Desire V to depict sluggishness when using and operating the phone.  The dual SIM feature is the only factor that makes the device stands out among other similar range smart phones.
